El-Hajj Hisham Mahmoud has been teaching various subjects to the general public for more than 25 years, and has recently resolved to impart to a core group of twelve students the knowledge that his teachers have instilled in him. This circle would form the Vanguard Nexus, which purposes to serve two ends:
- to create an environment in which students may study with El-Hajj Hisham in his capacity as teacher and mentor;
- and to prepare students to synthesize and personalize the knowledge they attain to benefit their families and communities. In this capacity, they shall serve as Beacons by conveying what Lanturna means to them.
The Vanguard Nexus is a mentorship program wherein concentric circles meet at the nexus between receiving and giving. By completing this application, you are conveying your intention to honor the knowledge that El-Hajj Hisham Mahmoud has received from his teachers and your intention to give it to others.
